Investment Criteria
Kain’s investor base is comprised predominantly of long-term capital, permitting a patient approach to investing not tied to any specific return horizon or parameters.
Industry
We look to build on stand-out opportunities for transformational change in stable, founder-led, mid-sized healthcare companies.
Investment Types
Ideally control positions (60% – 85% of target), but in certain cases protected minority positions (20% - 49%) in acquisitions with a strong focus on growth, both organic and inorganic.
Strong Management
Founder owned and operated companies with a demonstrated ability to manage a stable operation but need help in anticipation of growth and add-on acquisitions.
Revenue & EBITDA
Healthcare companies with stable, growing revenues in the $20 - $150M+ range and EBITDA between $5 - 40M. Kain will also invest in early-stage companies able to leverage the firm's platform.
